Play2Learn Foundation provides gamers and entrepreneurs with inspiration, education, and resources they need to navigate the emerging web3 landscape by promoting financial inclusion and technological literacy.
The World of Exclusion
The lack of a bank account, financial knowledge, or technological access and skills perpetuates poverty. Poverty and environmental issues are directly related. As poverty stresses the environment, environmental issues exacerbate poverty.
Access Denied: No Bank Account
Nearly 1.7 billion people worldwide have no access to a bank account, 31 percent of adults are unbanked. Only 48.9 percent of Indonesians (48.9%) and 34.5% of Filipinos have bank accounts.
When Technology is a Stranger
In an age of the digital revolution, only 6.5% of India’s population is digitally literate. The relationship between level of education, illiteracy and poverty is clear. The lack of sufficient technology causes wealth and lifestyle inequalities that negatively affect society.
Environmental Issues & Catastrophise
Poverty alleviation is one of the most crucial elements of environmental regeneration. Pollution, land degradation, soil erosion, and deforestation lead to a decline in food production and a drought that contributes to inflation and poverty.
THE P2L SOLUTION
Transform with Education & Technology
We believe that education is the key to opportunity. Investing in education can help break the poverty cycle and give people the skills and knowledge they need to lead successful lives. It is the mission of the Foundation to empower youth and young entrepreneurs within the communities we serve to become leaders, learn, and thrive in the digital age. To accomplish this, P2L will offer educational programs, partnerships and initiatives centered around the following domains:
Improve Financial Literacy
Offering gamers and young entrepreneurs micro-grants and loans, educational materials, budgeting tools, and finance experts’ advice on money and blockchain-enabled financial services.
Create Technological Literacy
Fostering a love of learning and a positive attitude towards the latest cutting-edge technologies like web3, crypto wallets, collectible NFT experiences, DAOs, DeFi applications, blockchain gaming apps and A.I. will prepare students for the metaverse and the future of work.
Esports & Game Jams
Provide a versatile learning platform with the potential to improve academic performance, fostering a healthy competitive mindset, teach life skills, and engage professionals for inspiration and role models.
Conservation & Sustainability
P2L is working with partners and programs to offset carbon emissions, preserve rainforests, and reforest them to protect and increase biodiversity. We drive adoption and growth of a clean and sustainable crypto-carbon ecosystem.
